All eight barangays of the Municipality of Boston in Davao Oriental have received one thousand Falcata tree seedlings from the provincial government.

Funded by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process (OPAPP), the turn-over of falcata seedlings is a part of the localized implementation of President Rodrigo Duterte Executive Order 70 or Whole-of-Nation Approach to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).

Boston Mayor Rowell F. Rosit personally accepted the seedlings at the Activity Center in Barangay Cabasagan on Thursday, November 19. In his message during the turn-over ceremony, Mayor Rosit emphasized the essence of sustainability. “The government is trying its best to help us. The least we can do is nurture what was given. We will reap what we sow,” he said.

He added that the Province of Davao Oriental has always been cooperating with all its municipalities not only on its environmental and re-greening efforts but also in its peace and order campaign.
