The Philippine Councilors’ League Davao Oriental Federation has elected its new set of officers for the term 2022-2025.

In today’s election of officers held at the Honeys Hotel in the City of Mati, Councilor Joselito Villademosa, from the municipality of Cateel, was elected President, while Councilor Jerome Dayanghirang, from the City of Mati, was elected Vice President.

Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, who administered the oath-taking following the election and proclamation, congratulated the new set of officers as she challenged them to take seriously and wholeheartedly their duties as representatives of all the councilors in the province.

The Governor said she will tap the League to encourage all local legislators to support her development agenda, particularly legislations involving tourism, agriculture, and other economic drivers that bid to uplift the province’s economy and bring prosperity to the province.

“I hope that the League will be helpful, especially in my administration, by formulating legislations that are very much needed to attain the goals that we need, especially in these difficult times,” said Governor Malanyaon.

“Rest assured, with the representation of your officers, I will always give attention to your concerns. So, I just hope that we can work harmoniously, and I hope we get this province to move forward and attain the development that we desire,” the Governor added.

Newly elected PCL President Councilor Villademosa expressed his commitment to do his part. He vowed to support Governor Malanyaon’s administration by “doing what is righteous and providing a service from the heart.”
