The Provincial Capitol-Covered Court in Davao Oriental came alive on June 14, 2023, as government employees turned athletes gathered for the opening ceremonies of the highly anticipated Gov Cora Cup Friendship Games. Vice Governor Nino Sotero L. Uy, along with the department heads, graced the event, marking the beginning of an exciting series of friendly games.

The Gov Cora Cup Friendship Game, an anchored event part of the celebration of the 56th Araw ng Davao Oriental, has set the stage for employees of the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental to come together, showcase their skills in sports and various fun games, and strengthen the bond of unity among one another.

Vice Governor Nino Uy, addressing the participants, emphasized the importance of unity, humility, and sportsmanship. He encouraged all employee athletes to channel their energy and strive for victory while fostering strong bonds with each other.
