Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon led the inauguration and blessing of the newly completed Provincial Governor’s Office-Social Services Unit, a special office dedicated to serving the province’s poor constituents in dire need of immediate assistance on September 19, 2022.

A spacious office located on the ground floor of the Capitol Building, the new Social Services Unit provides clients and workers a more comfortable space to do their transactions.

This office primarily provides medical, burial, and educational assistance, especially for the less fortunate clients who are penniless and do not have anybody they can rely on.

Governor Malanyaon, well-known for her heart and dedication to the poor through social services and medical assistance, has set aside a special allocation for social services. She said she prioritized the office’s operation as it serves as the poor people’s lifeline that would somehow ease their burdens amidst crises or emergencies.

During Monday’s program, Governor Malanyaon formally introduced the Social Services team headed and managed by Ms. Rhea Clarabal-Elona. She has been in charge of the Governor’s efficient social services for years.

Clients, including those who regularly seek assistance due to chronic conditions, expressed gratitude to Governor Malanyaon for dedicating a special unit to cater to their needs. They say this speaks volumes to the leadership she espouses and is a testament to her administration’s genuine compassion for the poor. By KLDeloso | Photos by Mark Oliver Alvite
