BDAVAO ORIENTAL—After serving a total of 100 barangays last year, the Nagkakaisang Lingkod-Bayan ng Davao Oriental Barangay Outreach Caravan (NLD-BOC) team is down to serving the remaining villages this year.

During the jam-packed caravan, around 40 participating agencies have worked hand in hand in providing ordinary residents access to government services.

Regular goods and services continue to pour out to the partner communities such as food packs and school bags from the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, and reference books and Phonics Kit from PBA Party list.

In its continuous support to farmers and fisher folks, the Provincial, City, and Municipal Agriculture Office as well as the Bureau of Fisheries turned over livelihood programs in the form of agricultural seeds and fishing gears.

Also being conducted regularly during the caravan are free medical, dental, ophthalmology services, and veterinary services, as well as legal and technical consultations, among many others.

Advocacy lectures continue to provide residents awareness on road safety and disaster preparedness.

In the effort to establish stronger relationship with the public, the 28th Infantry Battalion pursued its static display as well as the exhibit of its major accomplishments which have just started by the end of year 2018.

Punong Barangay Fe Arafol expressed her thanks to the provincial government and partners in behalf of Barangay Dawan for providing these crucial services for her constituents.

“This is a most awaited day for us. In fact, we were not able to catch some sleep these last few days because of great anticipation. With that I would like to thank Governor Nelson Dayanghirang for bringing practically all government offices to cater to the needs of the people here. Rest assured that the Barangay Local Government will support the provincial government in all of its undertakings,” Arafol said.

Meanwhile, Governor Nelson Dayanghirang, in his unrelenting call for unity in achieving peace and development, told the masses to do its part in welcoming development within their barangay.
