DavOr Donates Land to Barangay Tagboa’s Resettlement Project

The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental has donated a parcel of land to the Barangay Local Government Unit of Tagboa in Lupon, Davao Oriental, which will be utilized as a barangay relocation site.

On Friday, November 11, 2022, Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon signed the Deed of Donation with the officials of Barangay Tagboa in Lupon, Davao Oriental, headed by Punong Barangay Joel Cabahug.

The donated land covering 17,509 square meters situated in Barrio Tagboa in the municipality of Lupon was among the purchased land funded under the 2021 Support to Barangay Development Progam under the Executive Order No. 70 or Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC), issued by Former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Governor Malanyaon hopes the donated land benefits villagers who do not have lots of their own and those currently living in danger zones.

For his part, Punong Barangay Joel Cabahug thanked Gov. Malanyaon for the donation, which will significantly help his constituents. PIO | Photos by Mark Oliver Alvite
