DAVAO ORIENTAL—Overwhelmed with the support of all local officials here, Dr. Lorenzo Mendoza, Department of Education’s Schools Division Superintendent, said that he will give his best in serving the Division of Davao Oriental.
“If there will be better than the very best then that is the kind of service that I will be giving to the division of Davao Oriental,” Mendoza said during the World Teacher’s Day celebration on October 2 held in Manay National High School.
Mendoza said that in just a year of his service here, he has felt the full support of all local chief executives here led by Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang and First District Representative Congresswoman Corazon Malanyaon.
“We believe in oneness, we believe in unity, we believe in collaboration. That’s why we celebrated this event without asking for a contribution from our teachers because as what Governor Dayanghirang said, we should give our teachers the best celebration. And that is also through the support of our congresswoman, mayors, and the rest of the LGUs who have seen our efforts in delivering quality education to our students. So that’s why here in the Division of Davao Oriental, no one shall be left behind,” Mendoza said.
Mendoza further thanked the provincial government as are set to receive a brand-new vehicle before the year ends. Governor Dayanghirang, who handed over the key to Mendoza in a ceremonial turn-over, said that it symbolizes his commitment to address the needs of the education sector, especially in visiting far-flung schools.
In his message, the governor once again conveyed his support for the teachers and lauded them for their relentless efforts in shaping the minds of the youth.
“We in the local government are one in supporting you for today’s celebration to show you our gratitude in educating the youth who will be our front liners in effecting development in the future. To all of you: Happy Teachers Day!” Governor Dayanghirang caps his message.

You inspire us in so many ways. You enrich our lives and touch our hearts. You make lasting impact on us and on this world where we live in. So today as I pay a personal tribute to you I just want to let you know my dear teachers that you are most cherished in this world. That your relentless effort in educating our children is very much appreciated. And we would not have been here if hadn’t it been for you. So we thank you, we salute you, we love you, and you are likewise privileged and blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve the children of God. So, to you, on this special day, congratulations, thank you and more blessings to you,” she said.
