Governor Uy Welcomes New 701st Commander Col. Taguba

Davao Oriental Governor Niño Uy officially welcomed Colonel Allan Jose L. Taguba, INF (MNSA) PA, as the new commander of the 701st Infantry (Kagitingan) Brigade during a courtesy meeting at the Provincial Governor’s Office on October 15.

Col. Taguba takes over the reins from Brigadier General Oliver Maquiling PA, who has now assumed the role of Assistant Division Commander for the 7th Infantry (Related) Division at Fort Magsaysay in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

In his warm welcome, Governor Uy expressed his strong desire to foster a solid partnership with Col. Taguba to maintain peace and order in Davao Oriental. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to promote community stability and ongoing initiatives for peacekeeping.

The governor also assured Col. Taguba of his support for various activities conducted by the 701st Infantry (Kagitingan) Brigade within the province.
