Today was a special day for the members and officers of the Provincial Government Employees’ Association (PGEA) as they celebrated their organization’s 22nd anniversary. Filled with excitement and anticipation, employees gathered at the Provincial Capitol Covered court for a simple anniversary celebration.
During the simple festivities, Governor Niño Sotero L. Uy, Jr. took the stage to address the PGEA members. His words were filled with inspiration and encouragement, as he reminded the PGEA members of their roles as public servants and contributors to the province’s progress.
More importantly, he reminded them to be grateful for the blessings they have received as regular employees as “not everyone in our community enjoys the same privileges as you.” The governor’s words emphasized the importance of embracing a spirit of appreciation and thankfulness, which can serve as an inspiration to others and foster a positive work environment.
“As public servants, we have been given a great responsibility, and it is up to us to rise to the challenge,” the governor continued. “Let us be grateful for the privilege of serving our community, and let us always strive to do our best and make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve,” he added.
During the festivities, Governor Uy surprised the employees by announcing P100,000 additional raffle prizes. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause upon hearing the news.
The governor also expressed his support for the organization’s efforts to promote the welfare of the employees, as he talked with the PGEA President, Eric Albao.
