As part of Governor Niño Sotero L. Uy, Jr.’s commitment to supporting education, the provincial government has recently distributed the Brigada Eskwela 2023 Subsidy to schools in the province’s districts 1 and 2, totaling P1.3 million.
Each of the 335 recipient schools received P4,000 during the distribution on September 10-11. This subsidy is intended for the preparation of classrooms, repairs, and other needs for the class opening. This distribution is a testament to the provincial government’s dedication to ensuring that the education sector in Davao Oriental receives the support it needs to provide quality education to its students.
The Brigada Eskwela Subsidy from the provincial government aims to provide schools with monetary support so they may get their classrooms ready for the new school year. The Provincial Government, through the Local School Board, led by its LSB Head Secretariat Restie N. Aguilon, and the DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Josephine Fadul, diligently organized and carried out this year’s distribution.
The financial contribution will go a long way towards boosting the learning environment, allowing teachers to ensure a more welcoming positioning for their pupils, and will help teachers purchase essential materials and tools, guaranteeing students have access to the best possible education.
The governor’s commitment to education extends beyond financial support. He understands that in order to improve the bar for learning, an ambitious plan is needed, which should include regular professional growth for educators and facilities improvement.
In a recent statement, Governor Uy expressed his optimism about the future of Davao Oriental’s students, saying that he has high hopes for them. He reiterated that the provincial government is committed to providing the youth with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed, ensuring a prosperous and promising future for the province.
