For its excellent performance in its mandate of providing referral and placement services for local and overseas as well as private and public employment, the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of Davao Oriental has been hailed as the Top Performing PESO in Davao Region for 2022.

PESO Manager Mr. Restie Aguilon, received the accolade during the Year-End Performance Assessment (YEPA) in Pantukan, Davao de Oro on December 1, 2022.

Among the huge accomplishments of the Davao Oriental’s implementation of a massive Job Fair last September 2022, the first face-to-face provincewide job fair after the COVID-19 pandemic. The said job fair was unprecedented in the entire province with thousands of applicants in attendance.

In addition, it was also touted to have the highest Hired-on-the-spots (HOTS) in a single day job fair in the entire region with 49 accumulated HOTS for this year.

The said job fair was also one of its kind, where about 400 job seekers who were not able to get hired receive cash assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
