The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental is eager to magnify its partnerships with more strategic partners in order to keep its commitment to strengthening its tourism industry.

Recently, the province hosted a 2-Day Familiarization Tour with tour operators, tourism stakeholders, and officials from Central Luzon (Region 3), and the National Capital Region. The said tour aims to establish and bolster the tourism and trade linkages between Davao Oriental and the said regions.

The guests were taken on a tour to various tourist destinations in the province, including the Davao Oriental Welcome Park in Banaybanay, Sleeping Dinosaur, Dahican Beach, Subangan Museum in Mati City, Mt. Hamiguitan Museum in San Isidro, and Cape San Agustin in Governor Generoso to give them a glimpse of what Davao Oriental has to offer.

Receiving the guests on behalf of Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, Provincial Administration Ma. Gracia Tiago expressed her gratefulness for the presence of the tour attendees saying, “This is a great help for our tourism industry as this partnership will surely open a lot of opportunities.”

With established connections from Clark Airport in Pampanga and NAIA in Manila, it is highly expected that more visitors from Region 3 and the NCR will travel and visit Davao Oriental once the airport in Mati City can accommodate commercial flights in the near future.

Also present during the said occasion are Department of Tourism 11 Regional Director Tanya Rabat-Tan and Department of Tourism Region 3 Chief Tourism Operations Officer Ronsan Pelariza.  ʙʏ ꜰʀᴀɴᴄɪꜱ ᴍᴏʏᴏᴋᴏ ʙᴜᴛᴜᴀɴ | ᴘʜᴏᴛᴏꜱ ʙʏ ᴍᴀʀᴋ ᴏʟɪᴠᴇʀ ᴀʟᴠɪᴛᴇ
