Continuing its unwavering commitment to delivering essential government services to every Davaoeño, the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental, under the dynamic leadership of Governor Niño Uy, successfully brought its flagship program, Davao Oriental Bayanihan, to the remote barangays of Caatihan, San Jose, and Simulao in the Municipality of Boston on November 20.
The program, aimed at bridging the gap between residents and crucial government services, benefited thousands of individuals from these far-flung areas. The initiative seeks to alleviate poverty and sustain the province’s hard-earned peace by ensuring that no community is left behind.
This visit marks the sixth leg of the Davao Oriental Bayanihan, which has already reached other cities and municipalities across the province.
In his heartfelt message to the residents, Governor Uy emphasized the government’s dedication to serving the people.
“We are here because the government has not forgotten you. At the Provincial Government, we continually find ways to ensure that services reach you,” said the governor.
Governor Uy also expressed his deep gratitude to the participating agencies and offices, whose contributions made the event another resounding success. He highlighted that his role is simply to facilitate these initiatives, while the real credit goes to the people’s taxes, which the Provincial Government wisely utilizes for the greater good.

Strengthening the Province’s Connection
Davao Oriental Bayanihan will continue to visit the remaining municipalities, prioritizing underserved and isolated communities in dire need of government services. Governor Uy reaffirmed his commitment to reaching every barangay in the province.
“Our goal is to ensure that all Davaoeños feel the presence of a government that genuinely cares and works for their welfare—a government for the people,” he concluded.
