The newly elected Board of Directors of the Philippine National Red Cross – Davao Oriental Chapter vowed to uphold the spirit of volunteerism and humanitarian service as they took their oath of office before Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon earlier today, January 23, 2023, at the Provincial Capitol.
No less than Mati City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat was chosen as the Chairperson of the Board. Provincial Administrator Maria Gracia Tiago and Provincial Treasurer Engr. Ma. Victoria Rodriguez also sit as members of the board together with other officials from the City Local Government Unit.
Governor Malanyaon, the honorary Chairperson of the Board of Directors, congratulated the new officers as she lauded the organization’s exemplary services in the province and the entire country.
“The Philippine National Red Cross never ceases to assist us in our needs,” said Governor Malanyaon, citing the organization’s massive role in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Pablo in 2012 and other calamities.
She assured her commitment to support the organization’s mission and thrusts for the benefit of all.
