The “SupporTODA sa Probinsya” program of the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Office of Board Member Stephen Paul Uy, was successfully rolled out in the Municipality of Lupon on September 11. The said initiative, conducted at the Brgy. Poblacion Gym aims to provide essential support to tricycle operators and drivers’ associations (TODA) in the municipality.

This collaborative effort between the DSWD and the provincial government aims to extend short-term food augmentation to TODA members and their families in the area and strengthen their relationship through collective and concerted community undertakings.

Speaking at the event, Governor Niño Sotero L. Uy, Jr. acknowledged the enormity of challenges encountered by local communities as a result of the continuously increasing prices of essential commodities.
