The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XI has awarded Davao Oriental as the sole province in the region to achieve a perfect 100% functionality rate in the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit and Assessment. The province received this prestigious recognition today, October 25, during the 2024 Peace and Order Council (POC) and ADAC Performance Awards for the Davao Region. PADAC Action Officer Afif Ambor accepted the award on behalf of Governor Niño Uy.
Davao Oriental’s dedicated anti-drug initiatives have also positioned the province as a national award candidate in the ADAC Performance Awards, highlighting its commitment to eradicating illegal drugs. Additionally, the municipalities of San Isidro, Cateel, Manay, and Banaybanay achieved perfect scores in the ADAC assessment, showcasing their efforts toward creating safer, drug-free communities.
DILG Region XI spearheaded the 2024 ADAC and POC Regional Awards, celebrating the significant strides local government units in Region XI have made in peace, order, and anti-drug efforts. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including DILG-BLGS Director Debie T. Tores, CESO V, along with DILG XI Regional Director Abdullah V. Matalam, PDEA XI Regional Director Naravy Doquiat, PNP-PRO XI, DILG Provincial Director Orle Cabaobao, PFP LGOO VI Janeth T. Ambor, and DILG field officers from Davao Oriental.
Under the leadership of Governor Niño Uy, Davao Oriental continues to strengthen its programs and initiatives against drug abuse. The sustained efforts of the ADAC and other local actions mark a significant step toward a safer and more peaceful Davao Oriental.
