Davao Oriental Governor Niño Uy warmly welcomed 2025 with a heartfelt message of joy, love, and hope for a progressive province during the first Flag Ceremony and Convocation of the year.
Addressing the Provincial Government employees, Governor Uy expressed profound gratitude for their tireless efforts in ensuring the success of government initiatives. He commended their dedication and diligence in fulfilling their roles to provide exceptional service to every Oriental Dabawenyo.
“As we embark on this new year, I urge everyone to continue making our offices and the Provincial Government as a whole a model of a safe, happy, and productive workplace,” the governor said.
He emphasized the importance of fostering a supportive and healthy work environment, adding, “Let us help one another to create a loving and healthy workplace for all of us. This will enable each of us to perform effectively and efficiently, fulfilling our duties and delivering what our constituents expect of us.”
Encouraging employees to persevere in their responsibilities as public servants, Governor Uy reassured them of his unwavering support. “I am here to lead you in my own little way, to the best of my ability, and I am always ready to listen to you. Rest assured, every employee holds a significant place in my administration. I want all of you to be happy under my leadership,” he said.
Adding a cultural touch to the day, employees donned ASEAN-inspired attire in line with Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 16, Series 2024. The policy encourages government employees to wear ASEAN-inspired outfits on the first Monday of each month and Filipino or Filipiniana attire on subsequent Mondays as they carry out their duties.
This inspiring start to 2025 reflects a shared commitment to progress, service, and community under Governor Uy’s administration. PIO
