In the very recent Joint Provincial Development Council and Peace and Order Council held at Lanes Kita-anan, the Provincial Governance Reform Roadmap and the Provincial Result Matrices, leading to the Localization of the Philippine Development Program,  were presented.

Embedded in the Governance Reform Roadmap as presented by Engr. John Algallar of the Provincial Engineering Office  are the local road maintenance, monitoring and evaluation of implementation, and its communication plans.

Mr. Ricardo Velasco also delineated the inclusion of the matrices such as the compliance to the formulation of a Comprehensive Development Plan for local government units, and the linkage of the development plan to the national budget.

In the formulation of the matrices, there were strategy outcome and indicators used.

Other essential parts of the matrices also gave focus on promoting Philippine Cultural Values, expanding economic opportunities in agriculture, accelerating human development, science and technology, and supporting the framework of national competition policy.

In the meeting, there were reports also from the DILG, DPWH, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, PENRO, DEPED, and DSWD.

The body approved two resolutions as pursued by the concerned agencies.

The first resolution is asking for the integration of the 89 million pesos for the works that still needs to be done for the Mati airport to the national budget.

The other is requesting the DSWD to provide a copy of the data entailed in their national targeting system.

Vice-Gov. Niño Uy who presided the meeting, was glad with the presentations.
