DAVOR, NHA Sign MoU for Urban Development Projects

A signing of a Memorandum of Understanding was held between the National Housing Authority (NHA) Region XI represented by the Regional Manager of NHA XI Engr. Zenaida M. Cabiles and Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang of the province of Davao Oriental at the the Provincial Capitol this afternoon.

The provincial government and the NHA agreed to strengthen and develop the social housing projects in the province to support the government’s endeavors to provide homes, particularly to certain groups of beneficiaries.

The completed and on-going housing projects in the province amounting to P1.73B implemented by the NHA include the Pablo Calamity Housing, Siyudad in Dahican, Congress-Heights, Indigenous People’s Dormitory, and homes for former rebels.

According to NHA Regional Manager Engr. Cabiles, the partnership aims to foster urban development in the province. The NHA also commits to building a culture of quality in the projects to be undertaken.

Governor Dayanghirang said he is thankful for the partnership and collaboration between the province and the NHA. He also expressed his enthusiasm for the new housing project that’s set to be given to the former rebels.

Also present in the signing was the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict Vice Chairman and the Provincial Housing Focal Person Mr. Ednar Dayanghirang and NHA provincial officers serving as witnesses of the said understanding. | By Shaye Dacles
