OFFICE OF THE PROVINCIAL VETERINARIAN

The Office of the Provincial Veterinarian is mandated to function as the lead agency in livestock and poultry development, animal health and veterinary public health in the province. The department provides frontline services all over the province providing veterinary and other related services to farmers and other clienteles in need of services. The personnel of the office are trained on the services under the supervision of a license veterinarian and every activity will be in accordance with in rules and regulation of various laws such as Animal Welfare Act, Veterinary Practice Act and the Animal Rabies Protection Act of the Republic of the Philippines.

The services offered by the office include:

  • Animal Husbandry advice
  • Veterinary and farm management consultation
  • Animal Health Consultation
  • Disease prevention
  • Veterinary related procedures
  • Dispensing of drugs and biologics
  • Laboratory services
  • Supervision and regulation on meat safety
  • Artificial Insemination for Ruminants
  • Provision of Forage and Pasture planting materials
  • Conduct of Livelihood Trainings and Seminars
  • Dispersal Program
  • Veterinary public health and other related services
